2021 Accomplishments

We miss our many trail volunteers and friends.   We hope to see you soon. 

Dear Friends of Montclair Railroad Trail,

We thank you for your past support of the Friends of Montclair Railroad Trail. We want to share with you some of our accomplishments of the year, despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Created new signs for the trail in collaboration with the City of Oakland
    and coordinated the installation of them by the Public Works Department, a two-year project.
  • Removed much French broom at the north end of the trail.
  • Had garbage cans repaired by Public Works, followed by our painting of the cans.
  • Arranged for mulching in some areas.
  • Planted many flowers including a wild flower circle above The Village.
  • Planted various other native plants.
  • Pulled weeds.
  • Swept the trail.
We look forward to seeing you on the trail and to the day when many of us can work together on the trail.
